Hello! I'm Shanna Strauss, founder of S & K Ventures Boutique Bookkeeping & Accounting Services.

For more than 30 years, I've worked in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and financial management, helping businesses stay organized, compliant, and financially confident. My journey began at the age of 16, where I developed a strong foundation in cash handling, customer service, and financial accuracy while working in retail.

As my career grew, I gained valuable experience as a bank teller, where I managed financial transactions, balanced accounts, and provided exceptional service to customers. I later worked for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), where I was responsible for bookkeeping, payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, quarterly reports, financial statements, tax preparation support, reconciliations, and a variety of accounting functions for businesses across multiple industries.

Since becoming a business owner in 2017, I've managed every aspect of my own company's finances, including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax preparation. Owning and operating my own business has given me firsthand insight into the day-to-day financial challenges entrepreneurs face, allowing me to provide practical, personalized solutions to my clients.

I am a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor with extensive experience using QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. I use these tools to create organized financial systems, accurate reporting, and efficient bookkeeping processes tailored to each client's unique needs.
